Who We Are Looking For as Business Intelligence Specialist

We are looking to hire a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Specialist who can work with a global team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Vice President-Operations in managing the day-to-day operations of the company, driving strategic initiatives, and optimizing business performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence, strategic planning, and exceptional communication skills.

  • 5+ years experience in business intelligence, or any similar role is a must


  • The candidate should have top startup or tech company experience


  • The candidate must be familiar with tools like Power BI and Tableau...


  • Proven experience in data analysis and analytics, business intelligence, reporting, operations management and strategic planning is a must


  • Candidate must be located in GMT to GMT- 4 time zones

  • Job Description for Data Analysis and Business Intelligence Specialist Role

    • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to analyze and interpret data sets and prepare business dashboards to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
    • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track operational performance.
    • Provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

    Reporting and Presentation

    • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports, presentations, and executive-level summaries to communicate operational performance, trends, and key insights.
    • Create visually appealing and impactful decks that effectively convey information to stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain reporting frameworks to automate and streamline data reporting processes.
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and presentations.

    Strategic Projects

    • Collaborate closely with the VP of Operations in defining strategic goals, initiatives, and performance metrics.
    • Lead and support strategic projects and initiatives, including process improvements, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.
    • Conduct research and analysis to provide recommendations for strategic decision-making.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and propose mitigation strategies.

    General Support

    • Work closely with the VP of Operations, providing critical support and managing day-to-day operations.
    • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes.
    • Assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Conduct research and provide insights on industry trends, competitive analysis, and best practices.
    • Handle confidential information and sensitive matters with discretion.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting.
    • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
    • Experience in strategic planning and project management.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
    • Knowledge of operations management principles and best practices.
    • Fluency in English (verbal and written); knowledge of other local languages a plus.
